The Barren County Sheriff’s Office will accept 2026 property tax payments beginning Monday, Nov. 2.
The online payment portal will be open beginning Sunday, Nov. 1, according to the sheriff’s office.
Tax bills were scheduled to be mailed Thursday.
Property owners can pay online by check or credit card on the sheriff’s office website. There is a fee for paying online with a card.
Payments may also be mailed or delivered in person to the sheriff’s office at 117-1B North Public Square in Glasgow.
“If paying by mail please include the top portion of your bill with payment,” the sheriff’s office website states. “Please enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope if you would like to receive a receipt for mailed payments.”
Anyone who needs to update their address on their tax bill can do so online.
There is a 2 percent discount available on property tax payments made before the end of November.
