Barren County Circuit Court Judge John T. Alexander set an Aug. 3-6, 2027, trial for Brandon L. Bond, who is charged in the deaths of Ava Woodcock and her unborn child. Bond has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Alexander said the August trial window was the earliest available with four consecutive days. The judge scheduled the case during Bond’s Monday court appearance, which Bond attended by video conference.
Bond, 24, faces charges of murder involving domestic violence, first-degree fetal homicide and first-degree fleeing or evading police on foot. A Barren County grand jury indicted him on those charges in May.
The charges stem from an April 6 shooting in the parking lot of a restaurant along Cleveland Avenue in Glasgow. Woodcock and her unborn daughter both died from their injuries.
Bond remains in the Barren County Detention Center on a $2 million cash bond.
Commonwealth’s Attorney John Gardner said he had presented Bond and his defense team with a plea agreement. Gardner said he had not received a response as of Monday afternoon.
There is a final pre-trial conference set for Jan. 25, 2027, according to court records.
