Howard Lee Hughes age 71, passed away Sunday, October 4th at T.J. Samson Community Hospital.
He was born on May 14, 1955, in Hart County to the late Leland and Lillie Mae Hayes Hughes.
Howard spent part of his working life as a forklift operator at Dart Container.
He took pride in doing his job well and understood the importance of showing up and contributing to the success of those around him. In addition to his work in industry, Howard was also an auctioneer, a role that reflected both his personality and his ability to connect with people.
Howard Lee Hughes is survived by his children Steve Hughes of Bardstown, Jason Hughes(Heather) of Albany and Sandra Crump(Ricky) of Glasgow; six grandchildren Austin, Hunter, Josh, Jakes, Autumn and Damian Hughes and eight great-grandchildren; two brothers Melvin Hughes and Lester Hughes(Judy).
The funeral service for Howard Lee Hughes will be 12noon Friday, October 9th in the chapel of Sego Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Northtown Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8pm and after 8am Friday at the Sego Funeral Home.
