The Glasgow Scotties rolled over Adair County on Friday night, 42-7. The Scotties improved to 5-0 overall and 1-0 in district action.

The Scotties scored early and often. The first touchdown came 25 seconds into the game with a run by quarterback Landen Holley. That score was set up by a long kick return by Kaebran Jones. Levi Mann added the extra-point kick and it was off to the races.

Glasgow’s second touchdown came when Jaylen Bradley took a quick pass from Holley 53 yards to the end zone. Mann added his second extra point.

The Scotties scored again just over a minute later when Keyshawn Austin caught a 73-yard touchdown pass from Holley. Another extra point gave Glasgow a 21-0 lead.

Adair County fumbled on the ensuing kick off and Glasgow recovered the ball at the two-yard line. Bradley scored on a run and Mann added the extra point to give the Scotties a 28-0 lead with 5:21 left in the first quarter.

The Indians scored on their next drive to cut the lead to 28-7. But Glasgow answered with a Bradley 16-yard touchdown run. The extra point was wide left and the Scotties led 34-7 with 1:05 showing in the first period.

Glasgow kicked in the running clock with just over 11 minutes to play in the first half when Bradley scored on a 34-yard pass from Holley. A two-point conversion put the Scotties up 42-7, and that was the final score.

Bradley led Glasgow in rushing with 92 yards on five carries. He also scored three touchdowns.

Jaithan Franklin ran five times for 30 yards, and Holley rushed twice for 27 yards.

Holley completed 9 of 11 passes for 212 yards and two touchdowns. Bryson Sexton played in the second half, and completed 3-of-3 passes for 34 yards.

Austin led Glasgow with 73 receiving yards on one catch. Bradley caught two passes for 38 yards, and Jayden Estes caught one pass for 28 yards.

Next Friday, Glasgow plays at Hart County at 7 p.m. in another district showdown.
