Patricia Ann Poynter, age 72 of Cave City, passed away Friday, September 4, 2026 at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. She loved shopping, collecting things and spending time with family.
She is the daughter of the late James Bogard and the late Shirley Westmoreland Bogard.
She is preceded in death by her son, James Price; two brothers, Leslie and Mark Bogard.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Keith Poynter, Cave City, KY; her daughter, Sherry Jewell, Glasgow, KY, her sons, William Price (Brandi), Glasgow, KY, Scotty Pousardien, Elizabethtown, KY, Brian Poynter, Cave City, KY, Josh Poynter, Cave City, KY, Matthew Poynter (Crystal Towele), Cave City, KY; 15 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four siblings, Russell Bogard, Leitchfield, KY, Joyce Judd, Louisville, KY, Donna Styles, Leitchfield, KY, and Sally Powell, Glasgow, KY; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family.
The family will welcome the public from 11:00 AM- 4:00 PM CT on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM CT on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at Brooks Funeral Home. Honoring her wishes, cremation will follow.
