One person was injured in a single-vehicle rollover crash on the Louie B. Nunn Expressway on Friday afternoon.
The Barren County Sheriff’s Office, and several other local agencies were at the scene near mile-marker 2. The crash happened in the westbound lane, and the vehicle came to rest in the median.
Initially traffic was being directed down to one westbound lane, but the entire expressway was closed to allow a medical helicopter to land.
The sheriff’s office posted on social media that one person was “…being transported by air for medical attention.”
The crash happened about 4:30. Before the crash there was a field fire along the expressway near the U.S. 68/Ky. 80 a couple of miles further east. The two incidents were not related.
