The Glasgow Scotties rolled at Monroe County on Friday night, 48-13.
It Glasgow a little over a minute to score after receiving the opening kick off. Keyshawn Austin made a diving catch in the end zone on a 26-yard pass from Landen Holley. Levi Mann added the extra point kick, and the Scotties led 7-0 with 10-48 left in the first period.
Glasgow added two more touchdowns in the first quarter. The first was on a five-yard run by Kyle Sledge, and the second was on a 41-yard pass from Holley to Jaylen Bradley. Mann added one kick and the Scotties led 20-0 at the end of the first period.
Holley added an eight-yard rushing touchdown with 3:57 left in the second quarter. He then connected with Trevis Collor on the two-point conversion to push Glasgow ahead 28-0.
Monroe County answered with a touchdown drive before halftime. The Falcons then scored again on their first possession of the second half, and Glasgow led 28-13.
Glasgow pulled away from there.
Holley rushed for a touchdown, and Kaebran Jones caught a 20-yard scoring pass from him before the end of the third quarter. Mann added a pair of PATs, and Glasgow led 42-13.
In the fourth quarter, Sledge caught a 35-yard touchdown pass from Holley. The PAT was blocked, which set the 48-13 final score.
The Scotties posted 413 total yards of offense.
Holley was 17-of-24 passing for 262 yards and four touchdowns. Bradley caught seven passes for 120 yards, while Sledge caught two passes for 47 yards, Jones caught three passes for 45 yards, and Austin finished with four catches for 41 yards.
Sledge led Glasgow in rushing with 76 yards, while Jones rushed for 30 yards and Bradley ran the ball for 27 yards.
Glasgow improved to 3-0 with the win. The Scotties host Allen County-Scottsville next Friday, Sept. 11, at 7 p.m.
