The repaving of the Glasgow Public Square is complete, according to a social media post by the City of Glasgow.
“The downtown square is complete and officially back open and beautifully resurfaced,” the post states. “Thank you to KYTC District 3 and the crews who worked quickly to complete these improvements. We appreciate their hard work and everyone’s patience throughout the project.”
The downtown square resurfacing was part of a larger project to resurface Race Street from the square to North L. Rogers Wells Boulevard. Last year the transportation cabinet resurfaced the portion of U.S. 31-EX (business) that is South Green Street, which runs from South L. Rogers Wells Boulevard to the square.
