The To the Brim Food Pantry drive runs today through Saturday.
The annual event coincides with the Labor Day weekend each year, Dr. Bharat Mody said recently. He was speaking during the ribbon cutting of the new food pantry location at 306 YMCA Way in Glasgow.
Dr. Mody founded the food drive 18 years ago, and it has worked alongside Community Relief Fund to provide food to those in need locally. The relief fund is now part of the T.J. Mission Foundation. The new food pantry location functions under the umbrella of the mission foundation.
Dr. Mody has asked for donations of nonperishable food items at participating locations, or pre-packaged donation bags can be purchased for $10.
The donation locations are:
Houchens South Gate, 619 S.L. Rogers Wells Blvd.
Ruler Foods, 374 N.L. Rogers Wells Blvd.
Walmart, 2345 Happy Valley Road
Monetary donations can also be mailed to Community Relief Fund at 306 YMCA Way, Glasgow.
