Barren County Schools has a public forum tonight for those interested in learning more about the future of the district’s facilities plan.
The forum is part of the Barren County Schools Local Planning Committee’s work to develop a new District Facility Plan, according to a press release from the district.
The committee meets at 5:30 p.m. at the Barren County Board of Education.
Tim Eaton will explain the committee’s purpose and the process for developing the plan.
The primary question is: “What facilities/buildings are needed in Barren County to provide the best educational opportunities for all students?”
There will be a public comments time during the meeting. Those who wish to comment must sign up via the “Request to Speak” sheet, according to the press release.
Tonight’s meeting is the third public forum. The fourth and final forum will be announced once the draft District Facility Plan has been developed.
The press release emphasizes that the Local Planning Committee “is here to listen to the community’s suggestions.”
