The Barren County 12U baseball team has qualified for the Cal Ripken Ohio Valley Regional Tournament. They won the West Kentucky Cal Ripken State Tournament Major 70 over the weekend.
In the state tournament, Barren swept through pool play. They beat Cumberland County 9-3, Franklin-Simpson 12-2.
The tournament was moved to Elizabethtown for bracket action, where Barren smacked Russell County 10-4, then held off Cumberland County 13-12 in the championship game to claim the title.
The team is led by head coach Ben Wood. He is assisted by Andy Devasher and Austin Guarino. The players are:
