In recognition of June Dairy Month, The Peoples Bank on West Main Street in Glasgow hosted a community celebration highlighting the importance of the local dairy industry.
The event featured educational exhibits from the KSU Cooperative Extension Service, the Barren County FFA program, and the Kentucky Dairy Development Council. Visitors also had the opportunity to pet two live calves, one of the day’s most popular attractions.
Guests were treated to locally produced milk from Legacy Dairy, along with ice cream sandwiches and cookies.
Bank officials said the event was designed to celebrate the dairy industry in Barren County and recognize the hard work and dedication of the local dairy farmers who help support the community and its economy.
