Barren County tourism surpasses $87 million in 2025

Visitors spent over $87 million in Barren County last year, according to a 2025 Tourism Economic Impact report released this week.

This represents over 14 percent of tourism in the “caves” region consisting of 10 Kentucky counties. The total number is broken down into the following categories: $22.56 million in lodging; $25.81 in food and beverage; $17.89 million in retail; $10.17 million in recreation; and $11.54 million in transportation.

The total number is 1.1 percent lower than in 2024.

Barren County tourism represents the second-highest county in the region, only behind Warren County which had over $371 million in visitor spending.
