The Cave City Fire Department responded to the report of a residential structure fire around 11:15 a.m. on Thursday in the 700 block of Old Mammoth Cave Road.
“Upon arrival, firefighters initiated an aggressive fire attack and worked to contain the blaze and protect surrounding property,” a press release from the fire department states. “At the time of the fire, no one was inside the residence, and no injuries were reported to civilians or emergency responders.”
The Park City, Horse Cave, Glasgow and Hiseville fire departments provided assistance.
The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
