The Cave City Fire Department hosted a “Community Night Out” event last Saturday at the Cave Area Conference Center.

Community members were invited to meet their local firefighters, engage in various activities and watch the fire department conduct a mock extrication.

“The Cave City Fire Department would like to extend a sincere thank you to everyone who came out,” the department said in a social media post. “Your attendance, enthusiasm, and engagement helped make the event a tremendous success.

“We are incredibly grateful to our firefighters, police officers, public works employees, City offices, and all the volunteers who dedicated their time and effort to making this event possible. Their hard work behind the scenes and commitment to serving our community do not go unnoticed.”

The department said community events like this “remind us that it takes all of us working together to make Cave City a great place to live, work, a raise a family.”

“We are proud to serve such a supportive community and appreciate each and every person who played a role in making the evening a success,” the department stated. “Thank you, Cave City! We look forward to seeing you again at future events.”
