Twana Hayes has been named the new principal of Caverna High School. Hayes has most recently served as principal of Caverna Middle School, and she will continue that role as she oversees both schools.
Although the high and middle schools share a building, Caverna Independent said they will remain two separate schools with their own codes, site-based decision-making councils and dedicated staff assignments.
In a social media post from the school district, Hayes said it’s “an honor and privilege to serve and lead for the school district that molded and made me the person I am today.”
“The sky is the limit,” she said. “Once a Colonel, always a Colonel!”
Hayes is a 1989 graduate of Caverna High School.
A Caverna Independent social media post states that Hayes “brings strong leadership experience, a deep commitment to student success, and a passion for Caverna students and our community.”
“We are confident she will continue to build a positive school culture and help lead Caverna High School forward.”
