A Bowling Green man has been charged with attempted fetal homicide in Barren County after a state police investigation.
Kentucky State Police Post 3 was notified that a woman in Glasgow reported that her boyfriend, Abdulah Mohmand, 26, of Bowling Green, had replaced her prescription medication with an unknown medication, according to a state police press release. “She advised that she was pregnant and had concerns for the safety of her unborn child.”
After an investigation, a search warrant for Mohmand’s residence was obtained, the release stated. “During a search of the residence, medication was found to match the unknown medication that was located at the female’s residence.”
Mohmand was arrested and lodged in the Barren County Detention Center on Tuesday morning. He is charged with attempted fetal homicide.
The investigation is ongoing and will be led by Detective Jason Warinner.
Mohmand remains in jail with a $100,000 cash bond, according to the jail website. He has a court appearance set for June 11 at 12:30 p.m.
