Glasgow dropped a 15th District contest at Warren East, 9-5, on Thursday. The Lady Scotties fell to 0-2 in district action and 4-6 overall with the loss.
Glasgow built a 4-3 lead in the top of the fifth inning, but East responded with three runs in the bottom of that inning and three more in the bottom of the sixth to take control of the contest.
The Lady Scotties fell behind 3-1, but rallied to tie the game in the top of the fourth. In that inning, Kinley Stephens led off with a single. She moved to second on a single by Reece England, then Ayvah Maxey drew a walk to load the bases.
Gracie Walker hit a single, but Stephens was thrown out at home. Kerrigan Hagan followed and hit a fly ball that was misplayed in the outfield. That allowed England and Maxey to score and tie the game, 3-3.
In the top of the fifth Paige De Haas led off with a double. Raygan Wyatt entered to run for her, and later scored on a single by Stephens.
The Lady Raiders took the lead for good in the bottom of the fifth with three runs.
Hagan went the distance in the circle for Glasgow. She allowed 15 hits, struck out one and walked none.
The Lady Scotties also registered 15 hits in the game, led by three from Stephens. Jakylie Green had two hits, including a home run, while De Haas and England each also posted two hits.
