A Glasgow teenager charged with three counts of murder appeared in Barren County Circuit Court on April 13.

With the first two bench rows filled with people wearing white and grey “drive sober” shirts, Commonwealth’s Attorney John Gardner told judge John Alexander that a possible deal was in the works that would resolve this case.

“I have met with the victims’ family today and we have developed a plan to coordinate a meeting to discuss a potential offer the commonwealth sent out in this case,” Gardner said. “We’ll have an offer sent out before [Howard’s] next pretrial conference.”

This does not mean an offer will be accepted in this case.

With no objections from Garrett, Alexander set Howard’s next pretrial conference for May 18 at 1 p.m. Garrett also mentioned the possibility of filing a motion for additional discovery, but has not done so yet.

Howard, 18, was arrested by Metcalfe County Deputy Jarrod Steele on Nov. 1, 2025 and charged with three murder counts, three first-degree wanton endangerment counts and one first-degree assault count stemming from a fatal October vehicle collision that killed Emily Corbin, 18, William Moore, 17, and Charley Fancher, 14. The crash happened at the intersection of Veterans Outer Loop and North Jackson Highway in north Glasgow on Oct. 18. Howard was arrested in Metcalfe County because that was where he lived at the time of the arrest.

A Barren County grand jury indicted Howard in December 2025. He has a $750,000 cash bond.
