Cave City Council to weigh zoning changes at Monday meeting

The Cave City City Council will meet in regular session Monday evening, April 13, with a mix of routine approvals and a key zoning amendment on the agenda.

The meeting is scheduled for 5 p.m. at City Hall and will open with the usual pledge, invocation, and welcoming of guests, followed by roll call and approval of the council’s March meeting minutes.

Council members are expected to review March collections totaling $50,925.70 in restaurant tax revenue and $15,461.15 in transient room taxes. A combined $66,386.85 is slated for transfer to the Cave City Tourism Commission.

A separate cash analysis for March shows $14,324 in police department savings and $43,517 in the fire department’s checking account.

Under unfinished business, council will take up the second reading of Ordinance 26-12-3b, which proposes amendments to the city’s zoning regulations.

New business includes an appearance from Matt Stasel, owner of Roxglass.

Department heads will also deliver monthly updates, including BRADDs Matt Pedigo, Fire Chief Kevin Jandt, Police Chief Paul Reynolds, and Code Enforcement Officer Karisa Waddle.

The meeting will conclude with committee and other reports from council members.
