Welch Packaging is continuing its expansion in the Southcentral region, announcing a new partnership with Jamel Containers of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Welch Packaging Group Inc., a family-owned and operated manufacturer of custom corrugated products, has acquired and partnered with numerous other companies, including SOKY Pack and Pallet and AtCorr in Glasgow. Welch was also given the expansion award by Barren Inc. in 2025.
“We are delighted to welcome Jamel Containers to the Welch family of companies. Jamel will further strengthen our presence and capabilities throughout Tennessee and the Tri-State region,” said Scott Welch, President and CEO of Welch Packaging. “Jamel’s multi-pass digital printing and strong design talent complement our sister plants in East, Middle, and West Tennessee.”
Jamel owner Perry Morris said he was looking for a partner that could expand capabilities for customers and create more opportunities for employees without turning the Chattanooga business into just another holding in a large packaging portfolio.
Specific terms of the agreement with Jamel Containers were not disclosed.
