One person is dead after a fatal collision occurred on Happy Valley Road in the early morning of Friday, April 10.
The collision happened around 5 a.m. at the intersection of Happy Valley Road and Flint Knob Road, according to a state police press release.
A preliminary investigation indicated that a black 2018 Chevrolet Silverado, operated by Timothy Parson, 41, of Glasgow, was traveling west on Happy Valley Road when his vehicle crossed the center line and collided with an eastbound 2022 Peterbilt commercial vehicle operated by 31-year-old Rayen Hicks, of Sellersburg, Indiana.
Parson was pronounced dead at the scene by the Barren County Coroner, according to the release.
The collision closed the portion of Happy Valley Road between Dripping Springs and Harry King roads for several hours, opening up around 2 p.m.
