Nearly everyone who entered the game had a hit for Glasgow in a 17-3 win over Carroll County on Monday.
The Scotties posted three runs in the top of the first inning and never looked back. They added three more runs in the fourth and put the game away with six runs in the fifth.
In the fifth, Hudson Gumm drove in four runs with a grand slam. It started with Landon Martin drawing a one-out walk. He moved to second on a wild pitch before Garett Shields drove him in with a single. Shields moved to third on an error.
Huston Haynes followed and was hit by a pitch. Steven Garrett drew a walk to load the bases, which set up Gumm’s slam.
Glasgow capped its run barrage with five scores in the top of the sixth.
Garrett led the way with three hits, while Thomas Glass and Shields each posted two.
Gumm, Huston Haynes, Keaton Haynes, Peyton Lemily, Braylon Caldwell, and JP Pitcock each had a hit.
Lemily, Garrett, and Rashad Etheridge each saw time on the mound. They combined to allow six hits, strike out five and walk seven.
