Barren County rallied with two runs in the bottom of the fifth inning Monday to beat Bullitt Central, 4-3.

In that inning, Kolton Esters drew a walk to lead off. He moved to second on a sacrifice bunt by Jax Vincent. Jordan Harris followed with a single that put runners at first and second.

Gavin Coffey drove them both in with a double to put the Trojans ahead 4-3.

The Charges had a couple of chances to at least tie the game over the next couple of innings, but Colten Wilson and Dylan Poynter on the mound and the defense turned them away.

Wilson pitched six innings, allowed six hits, walked two and struck out five. Poynter closed the seventh, allowed no hits and walked two.

Coffey led Barren at the plate with a pair of hits, both of which were doubles. Jordan Harris, Jaxon Pierce, Price Thompson, and Wilson each also had a hit.
