Donna Sue Turner, born on January 8, 1949, in Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2026, at Norton’s Hospital in Louisville. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of all who knew her.
Donna lived a full and meaningful life marked by her devotion to family and her gentle spirit. She cherished the time spent with loved ones and was known for her openness to long, thoughtful conversations, creating lasting memories and deep connections with those around her. Her presence brought comfort and joy to family gatherings and intimate moments alike, reflecting a life richly lived in love and friendship.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years, Bobby Turner, who stood by her side through every chapter of their life together. Her sons, Richard Turner and Michael Turner (Melissa), carry forward her legacy, as do her numerous grandchildren, Kelsey, Jacob, Benjamin, Sam, Olivia Grace, Griffin (Brittany), Chastin Largent (Trevor), and Raftin Turner (Autumn); and an extended family that includes 12 great-grandchildren. She also held a special place in her heart for her nephew Ray Wright (Tammy), whom she loved as one of her own sons; her siblings, Claire Volpert, Ralph Wright, Robert Wright, Larry Wright, Odell Hart, Mark Wright, Mike Wright, Lisa Birdsell, Tammy Poore, Sally Etheridge, Jill Willborn, Shara Wilburn (Jimmy) and Vicky Wright, as well as several nieces and nephews. Her family was a central pillar of her life, embodying the values and love she so generously shared.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Averil Robert Wright and Eula Francis Thornhill Wright, and her brothers Ernest Ray Wright, Donald Lee Wright, and William Lindsey Wright, whose memories she held dear throughout her life.
The family has honored Mrs. Turner’s wishes with cremation under the direction of A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home. There will be a memorial service to honor Donna April 19th at 2:00 PM at Weldon Park in Glasgow, Kentucky.
