A male juvenile was flown to Louisville yesterday after a riding lawnmower flipped on top of him near the entrance of Gorin Park.
A preliminary investigation indicated the juvenile was operating the mower and attempting to climb an earth embankment when the mower flipped backward and landed on top of the child, according to a Glasgow Police Department press release.
The juvenile was treated at the scene, transported by Barren-Metcalfe EMS to T.J. Samson Community Hospital before being flown to Norton Children’s Hospital in Louisville because of his injuries.
Glasgow police officer Josh Neal investigated the accident. Barren-Metcalfe EMS and the Glasgow Fire Department assisted at the scene.
