Motorcyclist flown to Nashville with ‘life-threatening’ injuries following Glasgow collision

Glasgow Police say a motorcyclist suffered life-threatening injuries in a collision on March 22.

Officers responded to the intersection of Columbia Avenue and Shangri-La Place where a 2009 GMC Yukon driven by James Smith was traveling north on Columbia Avenue, attempted to turn left onto Shangri-La Place and hit a 1999 Harley Davidson motorcycle operated by Joseph McKenzie, according to a Glasgow police press release.

McKenzie was seriously hurt in the crash and was transported from the scene by Barren-Metcalfe EMS to T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow. He was later flown to Skyline Hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to police.

Glasgow Police say no other injuries were reported.
