Glasgow man indicted on sex-related charges involving a minor

A Barren County grand jury has indicted a Glasgow man on multiple sex-related charges involving a minor under the age of 16.

Anthony Lane Lynch, 19 of Glasgow, was formally charged on March 19 with first-degree unlawful transaction with a minor under 16 years old for an illegal sex act, second-degree rape (no force), second-degree sodomy, first-degree strangulation (domestic violence related), procuring or promoting the use of a minor by electronic means and second-degree sexual abuse, according to the indictment.

The unlawful transaction, rape, sodomy and sexual abuse charges occurred more than once and are labeled as a continuing course of conduct in the indictment.

Lynch was initially arrested by Glasgow police in January.

His bond has been set at $25,000 cash, according to the indictment, which also orders that he have no contact with anyone under 18 years old. Lynch is scheduled to appear in Barren Circuit Court for arraignment on March 30 at 10 a.m., when he is expected to enter an initial plea and schedule future court dates.
