Delenia Alls, technology teacher at Barren County Middle School, was named the certified employee of the month for Barren County Schools during the recent board of education meeting.
Barren County Middle School Principal Joey Bunch said Alls was being recognized for going above and beyond with her skill and knowledge mastery.
“It is amazing to me the amount of knowledge that this lady has,” Bunch said. “Not only in technology, but just in the middle school in general for the number of years that she’s worked in this building.”
Alls has taught for 25 years, and Bunch said she “is a rock for our staff.”
“We’re just very proud to have her on our staff, not only to be a mentor to the other staff members, but a mentor to myself,” the principal said. “More than anything, I call her a friend because she is there when I need somebody to go to for advice and I hope that she feels the same way.”
Bunch said Alls is currently working on some new technology initiatives that should impress school personnel and the community when they announce them at a later date.
“You will be blown away with some technology things that we’re looking at the middle school to do.”
