Farmers RECC has appointed James “Jamie” Moss II to its board of directors to complete the unexpired District 3 term of former director Ronnie Smith, who retired in December 2025, according to the cooperative.
Moss is a graduate of Western Kentucky University and earned his Rank 1 in 2002. He has spent about 30 years working in education, according to information provided by the cooperative, beginning his career at Caverna Independent Schools, later working in Adair County and eventually returning to his home community with the Metcalfe County school district.
Farmers RECC said Moss currently serves as director of special education for Metcalfe County Schools. Cooperative officials describe him as bringing deep experience in education and local ties to the board seat.
“We are happy to have Mr. Moss join our team and represent the members of District 3,” said Randy London, chairman of the Board of Directors for Farmers RECC.
Moss and his wife, Kathy, live in Edmonton and have three children. When he is not working in education, Moss enjoys training retrievers, raising cattle, riding horses and spending time with his granddaughter, according to the cooperative.
