Park City teacher Angela Reeder was named the 2026 Elementary Teacher of the Year by the Kentucky Council of Teachers of English, according to a press release from Barren County Schools.
“Reeder was nominated in recognition of her dedication to her students, her passion for literacy, and her commitment to the teaching profession,” the press release states. “Through her work in the classroom, she helps students build strong reading and writing skills while creating a learning environment where they feel supported and encouraged.”
Park City Elementary Principal Brian Clifford said Reeder “represents the very best of our teachers.”
“Her commitment to her students and her focus on literacy make a lasting impact in the classroom and beyond,” Clifford said in the press release.
The Kentucky Council of Teachers of English “recognizes outstanding educators across the state who demonstrate excellence in teaching English and language arts,” according to the press release. “Reeder’s selection reflects both her daily work with students and her broader contributions to education.
“Barren County Schools congratulates Angela Reeder on this well-deserved recognition.”
