Glasgow opened its softball season Wednesday with a 12-2 loss at Bowling Green.
The Lady Scotties led 2-1 headed into the bottom of the third inning when Jakylie Green slapped a two-run homer. Kerrigan Hagan reached base with a two-out double before Green’s homer.
The Lady Purples responded with two runs in the bottom the third to take a 4-2 lead, and did not trail again.
Hagan led Glasgow at the plate with three hits, while Green nailed the home run, and Kayla Kirkpatrick posted a single.
Hagan suffered the loss in the circle. She struck out one, walked four and allowed 12 hits.
Glasgow returns to action Thursday at Cumberland County at 5:30 p.m.
