Charlotte Marie Perkins, age 71 of Hardyville, KY, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2026, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Horse Cave and a licensed LPN. She enjoyed working in her flowers, cooking for her family, spending time with her friends; her grandkids were a great joy to her, she loved to fellowship and eat Chinese food. You would never go to her house and leave hungry; she loved and helped anyone she could. She was always there and could be counted on.
She is the daughter of the late Willie Robert “W.R.” Perkins and the late Margaret Carter Perkins.
She is preceded in death by her two brothers, Jerry and Mitchell Perkins.
She is survived by her son, Christopher Perkins, Bowling Green, KY; her husband, David Strickland, Hardyville, KY; two grandchildren, Reece Perkins, Bowling Green, KY, and Aniyah Perkins, Tioga, ND; one brother, Stanley Perkins (Stephanie), Elizabethtown, KY; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family also survive.
The family will welcome friends from 9:00 AM- 1:00 PM CT on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM CT on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Brooks Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Moore officiating. Burial will follow at the Perkins Family Cemetery.
