Community member once again have the chance to lend a helping hand. An Glasgow City employee lost her home due to a house fire over the weekend.
The employee is a single parent of three children and the family lost nearly all of their belongings in the fire.
The family is asking for size 2T clothing for a toddler girl, small shirts and size 3 to 5 pants for a teenage girl, and clothing in sizes 10 to 12 for an 11-year-old boy, along with size 6.5 shoes, according to information obtained by Glasgow News 1.
In addition to clothing, city officials say cash donations are welcome to help the family get back on their feet. Anyone who would like to donate clothing or make a cash contribution is asked to take those donations to the Glasgow Police Department, which is serving as the collection point.
The family is also searching for a new place to live. They are looking for a three-bedroom rental within the Glasgow school district, with rent in the range of $850 to $1,000 a month. They are hoping to find a place that will also allow them to keep their pets.
