Barren County is under a tornado watch until 2 a.m., according to the National Weather Service.
Showers and thunderstorms are likely before 3 a.m. with some possibly being severe, capable of producing heavy rainfall, according to the service. The low temperature for tonight is 33 degrees, according to the service.
As a reminder, a watch is less severe than a warning. A tornado watch means a tornado, or tornadoes, are possible “in and close to” the area.
Barren County is also under a wind advisory, according to the National Weather Service, until 7 a.m. Gusty winds could be up to 55 miles per hour, blow down tree limbs and blow around unsecure objects, according to the service.
