United States President Donald Trump traveled to Northern Kentucky yesterday in hopes of swaying the outcome of the upcoming congressional primary.

Speaking for an hour at Verst Logistics in Hebron, the forty-seventh president supported Ed Gallrein, who is a Republican challenger to the seven-term incumbent U.S. Rep. Thomas Massie, who Trump called “disloyal to the Republican Party and to Kentucky.”

Massie has criticized Trump, and his administration, on a variety of issues, including on the release of the Epstein Files and the war in Iran, which was initiated without congressional approval.

Massie’s campaign categorized this as an attempt to “breath life into [Gallrein’s] stale campaign.”

Trump first endorsed Gallrein in October 2025, according to the Kentucky Lantern.
