Glasgow police say a Cub Run woman is facing multiple drug-related charges after officers found her passed out in a vehicle at a local gas station on March 11.
Officers with the Glasgow Police Department were called to the Speedway parking lot in reference to a complaint about a female reportedly unconscious inside a vehicle parked beside the fuel pumps. Officers arrived and found a woman later identified as 45-year-old Wendy Shavon Hawkins of Cub Run in the driver’s seat, apparently passed out, according to the department.
Police say officers detected the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. A subsequent search of the vehicle reportedly turned up drug paraphernalia, a set of scales and hydrocodone. Hawkins also had methamphetamine and a glass pipe on her person, according a police press release.
Glasgow Police report that Hawkins was taken into custody at the scene and charged with public intoxication involving a controlled substance, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense, for both hydrocodone and methamphetamine, first-degree promoting contraband and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Her court date is set for March 16 at 12:30 p.m.
