Margaret Powell, 77, of Edmonton, KY passed away Thursday, March 5, 2026, at NHC Healthcare Facility in Glasgow, KY. She was born in Metcalfe County on January 29, 1949, to the late Scott and Florence Knight McFarland. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one son Tommy Scott Garmon.
Ms. Powell was a member of Foundation Church and enjoyed fishing, outdoors and spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include one son Brian Garmon (Anna) of Edmonton, KY; six grandchildren Andrew Garmon, Gabe Newby, Brianna Garmon, Shayla Garmon, Kaitlyn Garmon and Carly Waltman; one great grandchild Lainey Ann and one sister Sherry McFarland of Edmonton, KY.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, March 8, 2026, at Jessie-Wilson Funeral Home with burial to follow in Metcalfe County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 4 until 8 p.m. and continue after 8 a.m. Sunday morning until time for the service.
Bro. Nick Fields will be officiating, and pallbearers will be Andrew Garmon, Luke Wilson, Caleb Wilson, Matthew Wilson, Sam Wilson and Daniel Wilson.
