Barren County deputies are investigating a two-vehicle collision that injured one driver on Scottsville Road.
The Barren County Sheriff’s Office reported that the collision happened March 5, near the intersection of Katy Beth Lane. A 2011 Dodge 4500 driven by Donnie Carr was traveling north on Scottsville Road when a suspected mechanical failure caused him to lose control, crossed the center line and hit a 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander driven by Jamie Price, according to the preliminary investigation.
After the initial impact, the sheriff’s office reports that the Carr’s Dodge overturned and continued on before striking a guardrail.
Both vehicles were damaged in the crash.
Price was taken to T.J. Regional Hospital for injuries suffered in the collision. The condition of Carr was not detailed in the preliminary report.
The Barren County Sheriff’s Office says the collision remains under investigation. Deputies indicated that additional information may be released as the case develops and more details are confirmed.
