Roughly 20 jobs were eliminated as part of a “broader operational review” done by Graves Gilbert Clinic, according to Marketing Director Andria McGregor.
“Graves Gilbert Clinic has had the opportunity to assess all of its resources, staff, and physician talent and realized the practice was not as efficient and cost-effective as hoped,” Chief Executive Officer Mike D’Ermo said. “It is the mission of GGC to be the high-quality, low-cost provider in Southcentral Kentucky, and to that objective, we have work to do to meet our goals.”
Graves Gilbert Clinic has three locations in Glasgow, according to the healthcare provider’s website. D’Ermo said the walk-in clinic, located at 405 S.L. Rogers Wells Blvd., is being “absorbed” and the primary care services at the other two locations are being expanded.
“We are making changes in our Glasgow market,” D’Ermo said. “Additionally, it is our expectation with the departure of Oncology, we will expand access to other services, from Women’s Health to Endocrinology.”
McGregor told Glasgow News 1 that the 20 positions that were eliminated were “across the organization…and were not specific to [the] Glasgow locations.”
Glasgow News 1 is attempting to schedule an interview for later this week, but, at the time of publication, has not heard back.
