A Barren County grand jury dismissed the charges against the 21-year-old Glasgow man arrested in connection with the death of Justin Satterly.

Braxton Haley was arrested by Glasgow police on Frazier Avenue in December 2025 after officers determined that Haley had shot Satterly, who was transported to T.J. Samson Community Hospital and later pronounced dead.

On Jan. 5, 2026, Haley’s murder case was forwarded to a Barren County grand jury. An order filed with the court on Jan. 19 dismissed his charges with prejudice, meaning these specific charges cannot be brought up for indictment again.

Travis Lock, Haley’s attorney, told Glasgow News 1 that this signals an end to his criminal proceedings; however, they would go through the process to expunge the charges from Haley’s record.

Commonwealth’s Attorney John Gardner told Glasgow News 1 that he will review the order and “see if anything needs to be filed” regarding this case.
