Glasgow News 1

Nominations are open for the annual Achievement in Business awards, giving Glasgow and Barren County residents a chance to recognize “remarkable business leaders and community champions.”

The event features several categories aimed at honoring a range of local contributions. Awards include Small Business Person of the Year and Small Business of the Year, recognizing both individual leadership and overall business achievement. The Magnolia Award is reserved for a female community leader. Additional categories include Farmer of the Year and Administrative Professional of the Year, underscoring the wide variety of roles that support the local economy and community life.

The deadline to submit nominations is March 9, 2026. Officials say each nomination must be accompanied by a letter of recommendation and supporting materials in order to be considered complete. Those materials are intended to help demonstrate how the nominee has made a meaningful impact in business or community leadership within Barren County.

A news conference to spotlight the awards and nomination process is scheduled for March 26, 2026, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Western Kentucky University in Glasgow. The Achievement in Business awards luncheon is set for May 7, 2026, at Willow Oaks Golf Club, running from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The luncheon is expected to bring together nominees, business leaders and community supporters to recognize this year’s honorees and highlight their contributions to the Glasgow and Barren County area.
