On Friday night, the first quarter left Barren Countyin a hole they did not fully dig out of.
Clinton County posted a 17-7 advantage over the Trojans in the first period. Each team scored 14 points in the second period. The Bulldogs led 31-21 at halftime.
The Trojans outscored Clinton, 13-7, in the third period and got as close as 34-32 in the quarter, but that was as close as they would get. Barren trailed 38-34 at the end of the third period.
Cameron Pippen led Barren with 14 points, while Weston Shelton added nine.
Barren (15-11 overall) hosts Greenwood Monday night at 7:30 p.m.
