Drew Rhodes and Union Commonwealth return to action Saturday against Johnson in Barbourville.
The red-shirt junior and former Caverna Colonel has played in 21 of 22 games this season, and started eight. He’s averaging 7.5 points and 2.8 rebounds per game. Rhodes posted a season-high 23 points and nine rebounds against Reinhardt on Dec. 10. He led the team in both categories. He also snatched a season-high three steals in three games.
The Bulldogs are 9-13 overall and 7-6 in Appalachian Athletic Conference.
The game Saturday is scheduled for 3 p.m. central time at Union Commonwealth. The Bulldogs won the previous meeting with Johnson, 80-77. Rhodes led his team with 18 points in that game on Dec. 13.
