UPDATE: The water leak on Happy Valley Road has been fixed, according to the Glasgow Water Department. One lane of the roadway remains closed as repairs on the road continue.

Crews are currently working on a broken water pipe on Happy Valley Road between Garmon Avenue and North Race Street in Glasgow.
One lane of Happy Valley Road is closed in that section as repairs are made, according to Glasgow police.
Jeff Reed with the Glasgow Water Company told Glasgow News 1 that an 8-inch water line broke, and that repairs will likely take 2 to 3 hours if there are no unforeseen setbacks. Though uncertain, Reed said the break was likely temperature related.
“Maintenance department employees have a challenging job, especially when repairing leaks in harsh, cold and wet conditions,” Reed said.
At this time, Reed said, it is too soon to tell how many people will be without water.
