Caverna opened their first game of the Boys’ All “A” State Tournament on a 10-0 run and did not look back. The Colonels rolled into the quarterfinal round of the tournament with a 66-46 win over Owensboro Catholic.
Caverna takes on Fourth Region representative Clinton County on Friday at 3 p.m. The game time was set for 5 p.m., but has been moved up due to an impending winter storm forecast for Kentucky.
The Colonels led the Aces, 19-3, at the end of the first quarter. They pushed their lead to 15 points by halftime, 36-21. The lead was 20, 52-32, after three quarters.
