It took a late free throw by Addyson McFall for Barren County to extend its win streak to five games.

McFall made the first of two free throws Monday night at Campbellsville with 3.5 seconds left in the fourth quarter. She missed the second, but Ann Ashley Atkinson grabbed the offensive rebound and the clock ran out on their 58-57 road victory.

The Trojanettes led by as many as 15 points in the game, but the Lady Eagles posted a rally in the fourth quarter and tied the game at 57-57 with a pair of free throws with six seconds to play. McFall got the inbounds pass and was fouled after crossing half court.

Barren led 18-9 at the end of the first quarter. Each team scored 16 points in the second period. The Trojanettes led 34-25 at halftime. The lead was eight, 47-39, headed into the final period.

Shelby Byrd led the Trojanettes with 20 points, while Addy Slagle added 14.

Barren returns to action Friday at Glasgow in a key 15th District showdown.
