Mildred L. McPeak, 94, of Fountain Run, KY, passed away Saturday, January 17, at Monroe County Medical Center.
Mildred was born in Monroe County, KY on July 11, 1931, a daughter of the late Eddie F. (Green) and Ralph Robinson.
On June 6, 1951 she married Eldon McPeak. Eldon preceded her in death on January 10, 2016.
She worked as a beautician for many years and later served her community as magistrate of her home district for two terms. Mildred was a faithful member of White Oak Ridge Missionary Baptist Church.
She enjoyed gardening, jewelry, flowers, and working on her family farm. Mildred always had a smile on her face and a true zest for life.
Mildred is survived by a son, Gary McPeak, and wife, Pam, of Fountain Run, KY; four grandchildren, LeeAnn Boggs (Jesse), of Edmonton, KY; Robin McPeak of Glasgow, KY; Jade McPeak (Melissa) of Nashville, TN; Mark McPeak, of Bowling Green, KY; three great grandchildren, Liam and Rheya Boggs and Violet McPeak; two step grandchildren, Kirsten Phipps (Shawn) and Melissa Childs (Jake) and two step great grandchildren, Scarlett and Riley Phills.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 21 at 175 Main Street in Fountain Run, KY, with burial to follow at White Oak Ridge Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday, 4 to 8 p.m., and Wednesday, 8 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. at 175 Main Street Fountain Run, KY.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Mildred’s memory may be made to White Oak Ridge Cemetery.
