Jeffery Michael Harris, 51, of Glasgow, was arrested by Bowling Green police on Tuesday, Jan. 13, on Plum Springs Loop, according to his uniform citation. He is charged with second-degree fleeing or evading police in a motor vehicle, reckless driving and failure to or improper signaling. Harris has a felony case in Barren County for first-degree fleeing or evading police in a motor vehicle, reckless driving, speeding 24 miles per hour over the limit and first-degree wanton endangerment of a police officer, according to the court website. The out-of-county warrant was a complaint warrant filed on Jan. 13 by Barren County that was issued by Barren County District Judge Gabe Pendleton, according to his uniform citation.
Bowling Green police reached 126 miles per hour during the pursuit on Interstate 65 while trying to overtake Harris’ red Dodge Challenger, which was also being pursued by Glasgow police, according to his uniform citation. Law enforcement deemed the pursuit unsafe and discontinued the pursuit, according to outside reporting and Glasgow Police Department Public Information Officer Terry Flatt.
