The Glasgow Scotties survived a tough contest at Hart County on Monday night, 69-68, in overtime, to improve to 7-4 overall.
The Scotties built a first-quarter lead, 18-10, and maintained the lead at halftime, 28-21. The host Raiders chipped away in the third quarter, but Glasgow was still ahead, 44-39, after three.
Hart County closed the gap in the fourth period and ended up forcing overtime with the game tied, 57-57.
The Raiders took a 64-62 lead with 1:20 left in overtime, which was their first lead of the game. Glasgow then turned over the ball and the Raiders hit a layup to take a four-point lead.
Jaylen Bradley responded with an and-1 with 53 seconds to go in the game.
Jackson Norris stole the ball on Hart’s next possession, and got the ball to Bradley. He was fouled with 37.5 seconds left into the extra period. He sank both free throws to give the Scotties a 67-66 lead.
Hart turned the ball over again, this time with an offensive foul. Norris went to the foul line and hit both foul shots to give the Scotties a 69-66 lead.
The Raiders scored once more in the game to set the final.
